- Taller and more vigorous than any other Bulrush, with impressively large chocolate coloured seedheads and up to 1000 flowers per plant
- Golden yellow blooms appear from July to September
- A hardy native perennial which can be used as a vertical accent plant or as a thick privacy screen
- Provides a valuable natural habitat for birds and mammals
- Ideal for planting in shallow water up to 30cm in depth
- Not recommended for garden ponds - best used in large natural ponds and lakes or grown in containers
